QT Imaging Holdings has received classification and clearance from the United Arab Emirates Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) for the use of its Breast Acoustic CT scanner as a medical device.
The clearance allows for importation and distribution of the scanner through EDE-licensed medical warehouses and enables marketing to licensed healthcare facilities across the UAE, the company said. In January 2026, QT Imaging signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Al Naghi Medical for the scanner and QTI Cloud Platform, establishing a $24 million revenue pipeline through 2028, according to the firm.
The UAE clearance complements QT Imaging's existing distribution agreement with Gulf Medical for Saudi Arabia, giving the company a commercial presence in these two Middle East healthcare markets, the company noted.
