QT Imaging has released version 4.5.0 of its image reconstruction software for its QTI Breast Acoustic CT system.
The update improves spatial resolution in reflection imaging through optimized, spatially varying deconvolution during image reconstruction, the company said. It also introduces enhanced reflection images generated by fusing speed-of-sound and reflection data to provide improved tissue characterization, according to QT Imaging.
The QTI Breast Acoustic CT system is a noninvasive technology that creates 3D breast images without compression, contrast agents, or ionizing radiation, the company noted. Additional software changes include improved image reconstruction for small breasts and more accurate assessment of fibroglandular tissue composition in breasts with implants.
