Cook wins German patent fight vs. Boston Scientific

Interventional firm Cook has prevailed against Boston Scientific in a patent dispute in Germany. The German Federal Patent Court has rejected a request by Boston Scientific to nullify Cook's German patent covering its Gianturco Z stent design, according to Bloomington, IN-based Cook. The Z stent is employed in devices such as Cook's Zenith abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) endovascular graft, according to the firm.
