Lumexa Imaging taps new CMO

Lumexa Imaging has appointed Russell Stewart, MD, of Stanford University, as its new chief medical officer (CMO).

Stewart is a musculoskeletal radiologist. He earned his medical degree at the University of Chicago Booth School of Medicine and is a former NFL player with the Seattle Seahawks. He recently served as chief clinical officer at Covera Health and has held executive roles at Nines, a Silicon Valley radiology AI company. At Stanford, he has served as director of body imaging at the university's South Bay Cancer Center and director of quality improvement in its department of radiology.

In the role of CMO, Stewart will "oversee Lumexa Imaging's national clinical strategy, leading efforts to enhance quality, promote patient safety, and strengthen partnerships with health systems, referring providers, and the company's network of subspecialized radiologists," the company said.

The company changed its name from US Radiology Specialists to Lumexa Imaging in July of this year.
