Fujifilm acquires Empiric Systems

Fujifilm Medical Systems USA announced the complete acquisition of imaging informatics firm Empiric Systems of Morrisville, NC, in a move to expand capabilities of the Synapse portfolio.

With this acquisition, Fuji plans to offer imaging and informatics capabilities for all diagnostic environments via a single workstation interface. Empiric will function as a wholly owned subsidiary, according to the Stamford, CT-based firm.
