NEMA releases patching white paper

The joint NEMA/COCIR/JIRA Security and Privacy Committee (SPC) has issued a white paper on the patching of off-the-shelf software used in medical information systems.

The white paper is designed to make healthcare providers aware of the special requirements imposed on vendors of medical information systems, as well as the practical constraints involved in patching commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software. The white paper is available on the NEMA Web site.
