The firm's RIS application has new electronic filing capabilities for Medicare and private insurance, as well as electronic remittance capabilities for Medicare and Medicaid. It also has a new Enterprise Manager module for the management of multiple facilities and businesses, mammography and film-tracking modules, and DICOM Remote Views to PACS to burn DICOM film CDs with the RIS Report, net-RIS said.

The company is also bringing a host of new products to show in Chicago this month. The firm has developed a Twain scanner application to append paper charts, requisitions, and orders to existing PACS studies. It has also created radiographic film scanner software for film scanners from Vidar Systems of Herndon, VA, and Eastman Kodak Health Imaging of Rochester, NY.

The company will be showcasing an order entry system with DICOM modality worklist to work as a console for CR devices, and a DICOM CD viewer with RIS report attachment capabilities.

The vendor will also be demonstrating a medical chart scanner for existing practice management systems. This application permits the conversion of all medical chart folders to an electronic medium and extends search capabilities, as an index, of the existing practice management system for the folders.
