Medicalis nets Atlantic Health Sciences

Decision-support software developer Medicalis of Kitchener, Ontario, has launched its Percipio order management system at Atlantic Health Sciences, a Regional Health Authority in New Brunswick, Canada.

The pilot program will use the Web-based Percipio system to allow general practitioners and nurse practitioners to electronically order diagnostic imaging tests, with clinical decision support throughout the region that Atlantic Health Sciences serves, Medicalis said.

Clinical decision support at the point of care provides guidance in the ordering process for clinicians, to order the right test first with the patient's signs, symptoms, and relevant history in context, according to Medicalis.
