Benign Thymoma:

The patient shown in the CT scan below presented for evaluation of an abnormality detected on plain film as part of a routine physical. The patient had no neurologic symptoms. The CT demonstrates a slightly heterogeneous mass in the aorto-pulmonary window. No other lesions or adenopathy was identified. The patient was suspected to have a mediastinal lymphoma, but at histologic examination, the mass was found to be a benign thymoma.
