Kirsten Donald, MBChB, PhDKirsten DonaldCAPE TOWN – In a video interview at the annual meeting of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), Kirsten Donald, MBChB, PhD, of the University of Cape Town, discussed MRI's ability to improve children's lives, not only on the African continent, but around the world. Donald is deputy director of the university's Neuroscience Institute and head of the Division of Developmental Pediatrics at Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital.
Donald delivered the meeting's Lauterbur Lecture on the topic "Imaging the Developing Brain at Scale: MRI Insights into Child Neurodevelopment in Low-Resource Settings."
