Sunquest to retarget radiology market

A familiar name is returning to the radiology market. Information systems firm Sunquest Information Systems has elected to begin actively marketing its RIS software again.

The Tucson, AZ-based firm had previously placed its RIS package in maintenance mode following its last new software release in December 2006. Sunquest said it made the decision to increase investment in its RIS software following Vista Equity Partners' acquisition of the company (the former Diagnostic Information Systems business of Misys) in October and the re-evaluation of the role of radiology software in its product portfolio.
