Confirma, PenRad streamline breast MRI reporting

Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer Confirma and PenRad Technologies are showcasing the new integration between CADstream for breast MRI and the PenRad Mammography Information System (MIS) at this week's RSNA 2007 meeting in Chicago.

As a result of the increased demand for breast MRI studies, fueled by the American Cancer Society's March 2007 recommendation for annual MR breast cancer screening for patients at high risk, the need for improved workflow solutions moved front and center for many breast imagers, according to Confirma.

The combination of breast MRI CAD from Confirma of Bellevue, WA, and MIS functionality from PenRad of Minnetonka, MN, is intended to streamline breast MRI reporting.
