GE shows new eHealth technology at HIMSS

GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has launched its next-generation eHealth Solutions platform, designed to expand services for health information exchange, a clinical portal, and a patient health management system.

At this week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2010 annual conference, GE is showing the new platform designed for international and domestic customers.

At the core of the new eHealth Solutions platform is the eHealth Information Exchange (HIE), a standards-based HIE infrastructure that integrates clinical data from across disparate systems and manages clinical records, document types, and terminologies.

The applications include the eHealth Clinical Portal and eHealth Patient Health Manager.
