Medicalis adds ACR appropriateness criteria

Decision-support software developer Medicalis of Kitchener, Ontario, has incorporated the American College of Radiology's (ACR) appropriateness criteria guidelines into its Percipio clinical decision-support application.

The addition of the ACR appropriateness criteria into the Medicalis software provides the firm's customers with access to radiology-specific guidelines from both the ACR and the Center for Evidence Based Imaging (CEBI) at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, the company said. The guidelines will be deployed at the point of care using the Percipio Web-based order-entry system, according to Medicalis.
