Empiric adds referring physician portal

RIS/PACS vendor Empiric Systems is teaming up with electronic medical record (EMR) firm JaggedEMR to offer a portal between referring physicians and imaging centers.

The system, which will be available in the fall of 2005, will be available to physician practices for standard support costs only, according to Raleigh, NC-based Empiric.
