Medrad to launch contrast IT platform

Contrast injector technology firm Medrad of Warrendale, PA, is launching a new contrast informatics platform, called Certegra, at the upcoming RSNA meeting.

Certegra is designed to help users improve patient outcomes and workflow during contrast-enhanced imaging by automating how information is generated, mobilized, and integrated, according to the company.

Certegra products include P3T, a suite of products for automating protocol personalization to improve contrast enhancement for CT angiography and abdominal studies. P3T cardiac is designed to improve heart studies, while P3T abdominal personalizes CT imaging of abdominal organs such as the liver, pancreas, kidneys, and abdomen.

Meanwhile, Certegra Connect.PACS is an IT application that instantly integrates each patient's CT contrast injection record with associated clinical image sets stored in PACS. The software automates record-keeping, facilitates Joint Commission compliance, and reduces manual record discrepancies.
