Ashva Technologies

(Booth 6421) Ashva Technologies of Chennai, India, plans to introduce its Focus image archiving and distribution software for endoscopy equipment.

The software runs on a standard PC, and both single- and multiframe images (cine loops) are captured using a foot pedal during surgery and are archived based on patient information. The surgeon then can refine the image/cine by deleting unwanted portions of a cine clip, or improve the contrast and brightness of the image.

Focus has a built-in, template-based reporting engine that allows users to prepare study-specific reports with reference images in multiple layouts. Once reports are finalized, users can print the reports with reference images using standard Windows printers, or burn the images onto a CD with an embedded viewer for patients and/or referring physicians.

Ashva also will roll out its Edge PACS server for storage and retrieval of DICOM images from multiple DICOM modalities. The Edge PACS server can be configured as a DICOM component for Edge PACS, or function as a standalone DICOM archive server to interface any storage systems, such as redundant array of independent disks (RAIDs), direct-attached storage (DAS), or network-attached storage (NAS).

The Edge server is designed for small and medium-sized imaging centers, and can be expanded at anytime.
