PACS software developer Cedara Software has introduced Software for the Heart, a Web-enabled suite of cardiology components designed to offer simultaneous display of images from various cardiac modalities. Software for the Heart, which can support modalities such as ultrasound, nuclear medicine, x-ray, MRI, and CT, will be made available to healthcare system integrators and OEM developers, according to the Mississauga, Ontario-based firm.
Software for the Heart also offers direct connectivity with echocardiography equipment, a benefit derived from the company’s recent acquisition of Dicomit. In future developments, Cedara said it is currently working with the University of California, Los Angeles, to develop a multidata display workstation designed for cardiology conferencing.
