Novarad releases NovaPACS update

Novarad has released version 9.1 of NovaPACS, a security upgrade that also adds built-in AI tools, secure mobile reading, and expanded modality-specific views.

New and updated capabilities include the following:

  • Enterprise security: Facilities can choose from Azure SSO, LDAP, or two-factor authentication, each governed by existing IT access policies, with improvements to service redundancy and load balancing. The platform integrates with Epic's electronic medical record (EMR) system and other major EMR vendors.

  • Built-in AI: An assistive intelligence suite running within the reading environment includes segmentation of organs, coronary arteries, bone, vertebrae, and the heart, as well as body fat calculation. A built-in training system with image labeling allows sites to train their own models, according to the company.

  • Secure mobile reading: MobileRad360 enables PACS access from mobile devices with multifactor authentication, including schedule viewing, report correction, and report signing.

  • Advanced modality views: MammoIQ adds three-modality analysis for breast imaging. NovaCardio adds stress echo and ECG viewers, updated hanging protocols, and cardiac structured reporting for cranial, cardiac, and abdominal studies.

Version 9.1 is available now and has been deployed to more than 1,000 NovaPACS customers worldwide, Novarad said.
