GE HealthCare (GEHC) has launched MIM ComboTherapy GYN HDR/EBRT, a radiation therapy planning tool for clinicians treating gynecologic cancers with combined external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) and high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy.
MIM ComboTherapy GYN HDR/EBRT provides a visual and quantitative approach to dose summation across treatment modalities.GE HealthCare
The software provides 3D dose summation incorporating both biological effective dose and equivalent dose in 2 Gy fractions, enabling clinicians to assess the cumulative biological impact of combined treatment modalities, the company said. It also includes tools to validate deformable image registration, helping ensure that doses from prior treatments are accurately mapped onto current patient anatomy.
The technology is part of the MIM Software portfolio within GEHC's radiation oncology ecosystem and is designed to integrate with existing treatment planning systems, the firm said. It is currently available in the U.S.
