GEHC merges Imaging, AVS into new $14.6B segment

GE HealthCare (GEHC) is restructuring its executive leadership and business segments, combining its Imaging and Advanced Visualization Solutions (AVS) segments into a new unit called Advanced Imaging Solutions (AIS), valued at $14.6 billion.

The company appointed Phil Rackliffe as president and CEO of AIS, which spans MR, CT, molecular imaging, women's health, x-ray, ultrasound, image-guided procedures, and enterprise imaging. Catherine Estrampes will be chief commercial and growth officer and will lead Global Markets, a new region encompassing all markets outside China.

Roland Rott, previously president and CEO of Imaging, will leave GEHC to pursue new opportunities, the company said. Elie Chaillot, previously president and CEO of EMEA and Rest of World, will move to a role focused on high-priority initiatives reporting to GEHC president and CEO Peter Arduini.

Pharmaceutical Diagnostics and Patient Care Solutions will continue to operate as separate segments. GEHC said it expects to provide recast financial results reflecting the new segment structure at the time of its second-quarter 2026 earnings release.
