Mirion Technologies subsidiary Sun Nuclear has partnered with Accuray to develop a new quality management platform for Accuray's radiation therapy system.

The first release to come from the expanded partnership is called the Enhanced Dynamic Platform and was designed for Accuray's Radixact System with Synchrony, which enables real-time, personalized adaptive radiation therapy, Sun Nuclear said.

The platform allows for precisely controlled inferior-superior motion and features the ability to create an inclined plane for compatible phantom motion in the posterior-anterior direction. An independently controlled smaller platform provides surrogate chest wall motion, Sun Nuclear said.

Initial innovations from the collaboration will be featured in the Sun Nuclear booth at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) 2022 annual meeting being held October 23 to 26 in San Antonio, TX.
