Ultrasound and radiotherapy products developer CIVCO Medical Solutions has integrated its Protura robotic patient positioning system with radiation therapy software developer Vision RT's AlignRT 3D imaging system.
The integration, which is pending U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance, will allow AlignRT users to apply calculated translation and rotational shifts automatically to the Protura system from within the AlignRT user interface, CIVCO said.
CIVCO and Vision RT will demonstrate the integration in their respective booths at next week's American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) annual meeting in Charlotte, NC.
