Hyperfine launches new Swoop MRI system software

Guilford, CT-based Hyperfine has launched the eighth version of AI-powered system software for its Swoop portable brain MRI system.

The software’s diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) AI denoising feature received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in October 2023, and it has been rolled out at select sites over the past several weeks through a limited market release, the company said.

The latest software improves Swoop system image quality and introduces valuable ease-of-use features, including a real-time aid for more precise patient loading and positioning and a streamlined image upload process, Hyperfine said.

The software also recently received clearance in Europe and in the U.K., the company added.
