Toshiba opens $3M MR research center

Toshiba America Medical Systems has opened the Toshiba MR Research Center in Irvine, CA, to offer healthcare providers ongoing training and education in advanced MRI technology.

Toshiba has made a $3 million investment in the education and research facility. The center will allow U.S. and international customers to use Toshiba MR systems such as the Vantage Titan 3-tesla wide-bore MR scanner and various Vantage Titan 1.5-tesla MR configurations, according to the firm. Training will be tailored to meet specific customer needs, allowing customers to test the protocols most often used and learn new imaging techniques, the company said.
