A modular MRI facility built by HCG Building Technologies of Ceres, CA, to house a 3-tesla MRI magnet from GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K. has opened at the University of California, San Diego.
The facility was specially built for the university as part of a research alliance between UCSD and GE. The 1,400-square-foot building is HCG's first freestanding facility to house a Signa Excite HD 3-tesla scanner.
