Claron launches viewer for referring physicians

Advanced visualization and analysis software company Claron Technology of Toronto introduced its Nil viewing software for referring physicians at the RSNA 2010 meeting in Chicago.

Nil provides secure access to radiology studies, including multiplanar and 3D reconstructions, both inside and outside a hospital network anywhere a Web browser is available, including mobile devices. The viewer enables radiologists and referring physicians to share and annotate the same study in real-time. Referring physicians can access data through a dedicated Web portal and receive dynamic bookmarks through e-mail or PDF reports with embedded live links.

The software supports all the common imaging modalities and provides industry-standard security access through Windows authentication and SSL encryption for HIPAA compliance, according to Claron.
