Philips debuts new cardiac products

Philips Medical Systems has unveiled Inturis Suite, an addition to its Inturis for Cardiology image management product family. Inturis Suite is an image management network that offers department-wide and enterprise-wide access to digital cardiac images, according to the company.

It can be used with off-the-shelf equipment, and offers online fully DICOM-compliant storage, and automatic archiving to magneto-optical disk. Inturis Suite also provides for remote diagnostic-quality viewing, according to the Best, Netherlands-based vendor.

In other cardiac imaging developments, Philips rolled out Gyroscan Intera CV, a specialized version of the vendor’s Intera scanner targeted at cardiovascular imaging. Intera CV includes a number of features designed for cardiac applications, such as vectorcardiogram triggering, free-breathing coronary artery MR imaging, a comprehensive cardiac MR exam in one session, and an open patient environment, according to Philips.
