Cerner to offer its technology as an ASP

Healthcare information technology firm Cerner has announced that its Healthcare Millennium software applications are now available through the firm’s new application service provider (ASP) organization.

With an ASP model, software is delivered, operated, and maintained on the ASP’s technological infrastructure, rather than physically installed at the user’s location. Kansas City-based Cerner said this new ability will offer customers a rapidly accelerated implementation timeline with minimal initial investment.
