Agfa, Inphact forge partnership

PACS and computed radiography provider Agfa has announced that it will be providing its Agfa Diagnostic Center (ADC) CR systems and Impax PACS software to teleradiology and PACS firm Inphact.

Inphact will deploy the technology as part of its application service provider (ASP) PACS and radiology information system offerings. Agfa of Ridgefield Park, NJ, will also provide Inphact with Agfa field service and professional services such as applications, integration, and project management, if needed. The new contract's value will reach at least $5 million over the next 14 months, according to the companies.

The two firms have had a business relationship for two years, beginning when Nashville, TN-based Inphact purchased Agfa’s Impax archive and display stations for its back office operations, as well as components for several medical facilities throughout the U.S. Agfa's CR and PACS sales to Inphact prior to the signing of this contract are estimated at $4 million.
