ALI upgrades entry-level PACS software

Canadian PACS firm ALI Technologies has released UltraPACS Prodigy II, the second generation of the vendor’s entry-level PACS targeted at private offices, imaging centers, and modality clusters.

In the new release, Prodigy II incorporates the complete feature set included with the firm’s traditional UltraPACS software, but runs on a hardware platform optimized for smaller imaging facilities, according to the Richmond, BC-based firm. Prodigy II includes a wide variety of monitor configurations for workstations optimized for ultrasound and nuclear medicine, as well as for projection and cross-sectional grayscale images such as CR, DR, MRI, and CT, according to ALI.

Prodigy II is available via an application service provider (ASP) model, as well as traditional lease financing programs. It can also be later expanded into a full-scale enterprise PACS network, according to the company.
