QT Imaging has appointed Mark Winkler, MD, as chief medical officer as the company advances commercialization of its Breast Acoustic CT system.
Winkler co-founded Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging (SDMI) and served as its president, growing the organization into one of Southern Nevada's leading outpatient imaging providers with 13 locations across the Las Vegas Valley before it became part of Intermountain Health. He completed his radiology residency and MRI fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, where he was among the world's first MRI-trained fellows, and has collaborated with Canon Medical Systems USA on R&D and AI integration initiatives for more than four decades, according to QT Imaging.
As chief medical officer, Winkler will lead clinical evidence generation, physician engagement, clinical studies and publications, and radiologist education, according to the vendor. Elaine Iuanow, MD, will transition from chief medical officer to senior clinical advisor, the company said.
