MediGuide Medical GPS gets CE Mark

MediGuide of Haifa, Israel, has received European CE Mark certification for its Medical Position System (MPS) and MPS-enabled Guided Measurement Catheter (GMC).

The MPS system is a tracking and navigation system that can be installed on an x-ray cath lab system for intravascular evaluation of coronary anatomy. It is designed for real-time tip positioning and navigation of an MPS-enabled diagnostic or therapeutic invasive device on both live fluoroscopy and recorded background.

The MPS-enabled GMC intravascular device is used in conjunction with conventional x-ray angiography systems equipped with MPS for real-time tip positioning and navigation, quantitative length measurement, 3D lumen reconstruction, qualitative 3D foreshortening indication, and landmarking.
