MedQuist upgrades speech recognition

Speech recognition and transcription technology provider MedQuist has released an upgrade to its speech recognition package, the company reported.

SpeechQ for Radiology version 1.2 includes authentication of radiology reports via the package's QuickSign module and an autotext explorer with drag-and-drop or double-click options (in addition to voice commands). The new version also includes a graphical user interface that can be customized to user preferences, and improved password and security features.

Finally, the upgrade incorporates multiple-user access to manage the system and improved disaster recovery, the Mount Laurel, NJ-based firm said.
