Billing firms Zotec, HMP announce merger

Billing management and service providers Healthcare Management Partners (HMP) of Santa Ana, CA, and Zotec Solutions of Indianapolis have merged to create a new entity, Zotec Partners.

The firms said that the merger will provide a synergy between HMP's experience in revenue-cycle management and Zotec's technology expertise.

Currently, Zotec's flagship product, the Electronic Billing Center (EBC) practice management and billing software suite, is in 43 states and used by more than 5,000 physician offices in the U.S., according to the firm.

HMP is the 12th largest medical billing company in the U.S., with a core business directing and implementing all functions related to billing and collection for physician professional services, the company said. It also provides global billing services for freestanding outpatient surgical and imaging centers.
