Medstreaming purchases M2S

Healthcare IT vendor Medstreaming has acquired M2S, a developer of healthcare registry software.

The deal will result in software that will marry multiple registries within the clinical workflow and fully automate registry data submission, according to Medstreaming co-founder and CEO Wael Elseaidy.

Medstreaming said it plans to integrate its Graphic Fusion Workflow software into M2S registry applications to create a data-sharing ecosystem, with the goal of creating a governed global data platform for disease management. Providers, patients, clinical researchers, medical device and pharmaceutical companies, and regulators could also leverage the same platform to address challenging healthcare issues, according to Medstreaming.

The firm also plans to integrate its big-data analytics technology into the M2S registry platform, helping users to accelerate discovery and perform data analysis, Medstreaming said. In addition to applying new findings and extending best-practice information and guidelines to the point of care, the upgraded platform will create an opportunity to integrate clinical research, clinical trials, and postmarket surveillance, according to the vendor.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
