GE announces partnerships at SIIM 2008

GE Healthcare has inked collaborative agreements with three firms to enhance its Centricity offerings, the company said. The agreements were announced at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) conference in Seattle.

GE plans to partner with orthopedic template and surgical planning provider Orthocrat of Petah Tikva, Israel, to introduce an orthopedic digital image management and surgical planning package, the company said. The package will provide a single interface for Centricity PACS-IW and Orthocrat's TraumaCAD software.

GE has also established a partnership with Amirsys of Salt Lake City to incorporate the company's STATdx diagnostic decision support package with GE's Centricity RIS-IC.

Finally, the Chalfont St. Giles, UK-based firm has inked an agreement with M*Modal of Pittsburgh to incorporate M*Modal's speech technology, AnyModal Conversational Documentation Services, as part of its Centricity RIS-IC reporting module.
