GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., plans to highlight dose efficiency enhancements for the electrophysiology market, expand its alliance with Biosense Webster, and launch new versions of its CardioLab software at the Heart Rhythm 2009 conference in Boston.
The company's Innova dose customization protocol allows users of Innova angiography systems to customize and modify dose preferences by protocol, patient, and physician. Further adjustments can be made by the clinician at the table should the need arise, the company said.
GE also has expanded its intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) imaging agreement with Biosense Webster, a diagnostic catheter maker. Under terms of the agreement, GE will develop support for additional Biosense Webster ICE catheters.
The company also plans to unveil new versions of its CardioLab electrophysiology (EP) recording system: CardioLab IT, CardioLab XT, and CardioLab XTi. GE has already introduced CardioICE, a new feature for CardioLab XTi that synchronizes EP signal data and procedure information with real-time ultrasound images, creating case reports and integrated workflow plans.
