Merge prepares for RSNA launches

Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare will present a number of new technology introductions at this year's 2010 RSNA meeting in Chicago.

The firm's Healthcare Kiosk technology allows users to automate front-desk workflow by providing patients with an interface for check-in and bill paying, according to the Hartland, WI-based firm. The firm will also highlight iConnect, a platform for sharing images between providers and integrating images into broader healthcare IT applications.

Merge will also showcase its eFilm Workstation software for use with the iPad.

In new developments for its OEM, value-added reseller, and distributor customers, Merge said it will highlight its new CADstream software-only computer-aided detection (CAD) platform for integration into existing MR consoles and/or PACS software. The firm's new Web Services platform will also be presented for RIS/HIS/EHR integration, as will etrials CIMS for incorporating imaging study workflow into clinical trial study data collection.
