PACS technology developer Sorna has introduced Reviewer EMR, a software application designed to provide access to diagnostic images from a patient's electronic medical record (EMR).
Reviewer EMR allows for one-click access to images from an EMR; when a physician clicks a hyperlink to one or multiple diagnostic imaging studies stored in a facility's DICOM image archive, the studies are retrieved and displayed immediately, according to the Eagan, MN-based vendor.
Reviewer EMR is deployed after the link is clicked using Microsoft's ClickOnce deployment technology. Sorna showcased Reviewer EMR in conjunction with Acuo Technologies' DICOM Services Grid offering at the recent Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Charlotte, NC.
