Nuance forms EHR stimulus collaboration

Speech recognition firm Nuance Communications of Burlington, MA, has formed an electronic health record (EHR) educational alliance to educate U.S. physicians about EHR opportunities provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.

In partnership with Allscripts, Cisco, Citrix, Dell, Intel, Intuit, and Microsoft, Nuance has established the Electronic Health Record Stimulus Alliance, which will provide educational programs for physicians across the U.S., including roundtables, trade show presentations, webcasts, and local meetings with Alliance members and medical groups that have already successfully adopted EHRs, according to Nuance.
