GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has unveiled new offerings designed to assist hospitals in accelerating the adoption of electronic health records (EHRs).
The service provides hospitals with an EHR with a general implementation time of less than 12 months and includes preconfigured clinical templates.
Features include:
- Preconfigured clinical content and processes with standardized workflows, which generally eliminate time needed to customize the solution.
- Best practices for quality care and reporting, which include care plans, orders, and templates designed to help hospitals improve patient outcomes and ensure proper documentation, reporting, and related reimbursement.
- GE remotely hosting the new offering to save hardware installation time and maintenance costs to hospitals. Additionally, a subscription-pricing model is designed to reduce hospitals' upfront investments. Hospitals also have access to GE support staff, reducing the need for internal IT staff and clinician time during installation.
GE debuted its offerings at the annual meeting of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) in Chicago.
