Aware adds streaming to AccuRad suite

Imaging software developer Aware of Bedford, MA, has enhanced its AccuRad suite of software with the addition of AccuRad Stream.

AccuRad Stream is a software development kit (SDK) that enables users to develop applications for image streaming. The company believes the SDK improves the ability to send images over networks with limited bandwidth.

The software supports progressive streaming by either resolution or image quality, and also includes roving region-of-interest viewing and intelligent caching tools.

AccuRad Stream is one of three SDKs that comprise the AccuRad suite. Aware launched the software at this week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in Orlando, FL.
