Siemens releases patient information card

Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, has released its CardOS Health 2.0 Patient Health Card product, a portable, secure storage and communication device.

About the size of a credit card, the Patient Health Card is a chip-embedded photo identification card that helps during patient registration and alleviates preventable medical errors and insurance fraud. The cards are designed to provide patient identification, electronic retrieval, storage, and display of medical and demographic data.
