Merge Healthcare to establish Indian support center

Merge Healthcare of Milwaukee said that it is forming a global software engineering and customer support center in Pune, India, to complement its existing operations in North America and China.

The facility is expected to grow to approximately 150 software development and customer support engineers by the end of February 2007 and to more than 200 by midyear, according to Merge.

In conjunction with establishing its India operations, Merge announced the appointment of Avinash Agrawal as managing director of its Cedara India unit to assist in ramping up the offshore center and transitioning projects to the center.
