IHE's RFD supplement opens for comment

The IT Infrastructure technical committee of the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) project has published a new supplement for public comment.

The supplement, Retrieve Form for Data Capture (RFD), is available for review on the IHE Web site.

The supplement supports the retrieval of forms from a form source, display and completion of a form, and return of instance data from the display application to the source application. It is intended to serve a variety of use cases such as investigational new drug clinical trials, public health reporting, and submission to local, state, and national registries.

Comments on the RFD supplement are due by August 31 this year, according to Chicago-based IHE.
