Cerner, CareTech complete Detroit upgrade

Cerner Consulting, a division of healthcare information systems developer Cerner of Kansas City, MO, and information technology (IT) services firm CareTech Solutions of Troy, MI, have completed an upgrade to the Detroit Medical Center's IT infrastructure.

The hardware and software improvements to the facility were conducted to facilitate the implementation of electronic medical record (EMR) systems, according to the firms.
