Perot to fund Allscript install

Information technology development firm Perot Systems has signed a 10-year $80 million deal with University Physicians and Surgeons to fund, implement, and operate Chicago-based Allscripts' TouchWorks electronic health record (EHR) product.

Under terms of the contract, Perot Systems will also provide information technology and revenue-cycle services to the 175-member physician practice.
