McKesson signs EHR deal

Healthcare services and informatics firm McKesson has signed agreements worth about $18 million with Clinton Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Wilmington, OH, to implement its clinical, financial, and operational IT systems.

CMH recently completed a five-year, $50 million building and renovation project to prepare for the conversion to electronic health records (EHRs).

The Atlanta-based company's systems will include the Horizon Clinicals suite to help reduce dependence on paper and the HorizonWP Physician Portal to provide secure, Web-based access to patient information, including medication orders, test results, patient charts, and medical images.
