Toshiba 3D unit updates Voxar software

The Toshiba Medical Visualization Systems division of Japanese imaging vendor Toshiba Medical Systems has released updates for its Voxar advanced visualization software.

Voxar 3D 6.3.2 Workstation offers integration with enterprise-wide PACS networks, giving users access to 3D applications with a single mouseclick, according to the company. The software shares data in memory with the PACS, loading data at five times the speed of a traditional DICOM transfer, Toshiba said.

Voxar 3D ActiveX includes the integration benefits of the Voxar 3D Workstation, but it can be embedded more deeply in PACS software. Voxar 3D views are embedded and controlled within the PACS user interface, and PACS users no longer need to jump between applications to access advanced visualization.
